4-4-14 WOW has it really been almost a year?

Wow Since my last post? almost a year, hard to believe.
As of right now . My daughter and I are going to the 50th Mustang Birthday gathering in Charlottle NC
We will leave on the 15th and be back the day before Easter.
I will post pics. I am parking with the guys from Bossmustangsonline.com
There should be quite a few and some group picks would be great.
then just a few days after the Wifey and I are headed to Negril Jamaica for our 10th Anniversary.
I love her to death and glad she has put up with me and my hobbies this long haha.

Here is a few things I forgot to post since last time.

Here is a link to the Grand Am Rolex race at Indy last year.

I got to meet Roger Miller with the 158 Miller Racing team. He was a great guy and took time out to talk to Sonya and I. Sadly he passed away 2 weeks later.

We went to the St louis Auto Museum for a show and We took First!!

4-21-13 Central IL SVT and Performance Fords Show MY DYNO

Well I got 2 runs with the dyno. One with the Silver key and the last with the Red key.
Posted are the 2 videos and the sheet.
As you can clearly see the red key had more hp and tq though the band, or more useable hp and tq when racing. Both ended up with about the same hp (379hp) but the torques with the silver key was 324.59 and the red key it was 339.49.
All in all I was happy with the numbers. But I wonder what the numbers would have been with the stock restrictive mufflers were still in. I had the less restrictive Roush axle backs, and when you factor in the .17% for parasitic loss it is right at 444 hp as advertised.

Here are the links.

Roush Review 4-9-13

After driving the Boss about four or five times I would like to report that the Sound is Awesome. A lot meaner. especially with the sides uncorked. truley sounds like a mean machine (retro).
I noticed quite a few people rolling there windows down and listening to the sweet exhaust sound.
Quality was excellent. Instructions on install could be better. (install Mids before reattaching Mufflers first . not other way around (rear end binds pipe so you cant get the movement needed to put mids back in unless mufflers are off.
Money well spent. Now if only the weather would be better so I could drive it more!!

3-24-13 INSTALLED ROUSH EXHAUST

WOW , very nice low rumble and an agressive tone compared to stock. I do notice a drone at 60-65mph but thats OK as I never drive that anyway haha.
Install was a snap but the instructions need an update. I found it easier to install the Mid pipes first then tails instead of the opposite that the instructions called for. Quality is excellent. there are even little drain holes in the bottom to allow moisture buildup to escape instead of sit inside the muffler.
Below are the comparisons Pics of Both old and new as well as Vids.

2-20-13 Ordered Roush Axle backs

Ordered and Received Roush Axle back Exhaust, I cant wait to put them on but the weather has to cooperate, Snow , Sleet, Rain. I cant even get it out from the back garage yet. Today It is to snow about 4-5 more inches.
When I am finished installing I will do A comparrision video. Stock, Uncorcked sides, then Roush.
The quality of this stainless unit is very good. There is even a 2mm hole near the H on the bottom for water to drain out of instead of sitting there for who knows how long.
I ordered them from American Muscle with the SVTperformance code (6%) and got them for about $440.
Not bad but Man just for an axle back?back with my 98 I don't think it was that much. But this is the going price for most of them. the Borlas were double this :(

10-16-12 Track Attack and some catch up

Haven't posted in a while but the track attack was assume, these cars handle GREAT. I thought i was doing good until the end of the day for the instructor ride along. They were 10 Times faster. these cars are truly race cars with plates. We had classroom then track then classroom then track. All day, plenty of track time and cool stuff to take home at the end of the day. I learned alot (even learned that i doubt i can out drive this car even with a ton more track time haha)

I have  a ton of videos from the track attack here, also some of our hummer tour in Moab and Arches and Canyon lands, including one of the camera falling off my rental. My you tube channel

Pictures of the Utah week, including the Boss Track Attack.  Track Attack and Moab vacation

Also are some of the rt 66 show.

7-16-12 NMRA Joliet and other stuff

Corey and I went to the NMRA in Joliet this Sunday, It was very hot but we had a cooler of water and found some good shade, We took Outstanding Achievement in class. I would say there was probably 15 or more cars in my class 05-current conservative. a Friend in an CO Boss took class winner.
We had a nice time, seen some very fast cars and made it back home around 10:30 pm

Other news.
I purchased from Radio shack a GPS/ Phone suction cup mount. it works great but is a little bulky so at Dollar General there was a versatile one for $4. I had to purchase a window mount as the vent mount wasn't seeing the GPS signals and not allowing my track master to work.Once i moved it up to the window all worked as it should.
Sonya and I are getting things in Order for the Track attack, we will also book a off road adventure (sunset) should be pretty neat.
